I like to remind everyone once or twice a year about my community here on LJ for Renaissance/Fantasy Faire photos at rennies_nphotos.
Doesn't matter which Renaissance Faires or Fantasy-themed Festivals you go to, all are welcome..even LARP'ing events.:)
I recently finished posting my own photos from the Colorado Renaissance Festival of this year and the Great Lakes Medieval Faire from last year, so come on over and check out others' photos and/or post your own. They don't even have to be recent...if you've got photos from Faire lying around from years ago -post those, too!:D
Please spread the word about rennies_nphotos!! Thank you!!:)

Can anyone tell me where I might find a list of the garb-vendors at the Great Lakes Ren. Faire this past year?
I'm looking for two in particular... one is a small booth that sells alot of sheer pieces (tops, skirts, etc.) in which the material kind of looks like netting...they also sold some belly dance accessories. There was a lemonade-booth across the lane from them and they were further towards the back of the site. -(sorry, I've only been there once so I can't recall exactly where everything was and I don't remember what else it was next to.)
The second is a larger booth and it wasn't too far from the jousting-field...this is a perm. structure. The vendor sold a variety of skirts, chemises, bodices, men's doublets, pants, etc. I think the leather boot vendor was a few buildings down to the left of this clothier vendor.
Anyone know the names of these vendors or how I might get in touch with them? I'd like to purchase some of their product soon, and I know I won't be back to that Faire anytime soon.
I tried looking for them at the official Faire website, but there doesn't appear to be a list of vendors, just a link to an application for vending. -Not helpful, unfortunately.:(
Thanks so much in advance!!
And, if it's ok: some shameless self-promotion... If anyone has any Faire photos (from any year) that they'd like to share, I have a comm. waiting for you: rennies_nphotos -Thanks!!:)

I've lost my Candy Coated Evil pin again and folks, I need my warning label.
If you've found it or seen someone other than the original (me) wearing it please do the karmic thing and get it back to me. You can give it to any rose seller and they will bring it back behind the scenes and it'll get back to me.
Please, everyone needs to know the dangers of the best tasting evil there is, and they won't know unless I get my pin. Thank you kindly and hope your faire has been a great one.
X-posted - I'm sorry.

Copied from apocalypticbob . "We've all seen what can happen when we all come together to do things...I think we've got it in us to do it again. As some of you may know, our dear friend rowangolightly is preparing to relocate to Kansas City due to some unforseen circumstances. There are expenses that have come up that have blindsided her, and she's in a bit of a pickle. She is the incredibly kind woman who raised money for me when I was completely devastated this summer by car trouble...she (and through her all of you) worked a miracle in my life, and now we have the chance to do it again.
I am humbly asking you to go visit the new community I just made:
rescue_rowan
and see if there is any way you can help, by donating an object or service for sale or auction, by donating directly, by shopping, or by spreading the word. I would like to raise enough to cover her expenses and give her a bit of a cushion to begin her new life with, thus lessening the burden on all involved.
I am putting it in a separate community to make it easier to spread and share, so that as many people as possible can be given the opportunity to help.
Thank you all.

The 2009 touring season has ended, and we are getting ready for 2010! We're expecting more shows, in more places, and bigger shows with lots of new surprises!
To that end, when The Connecticut Renaissance Faire ended, Scott spent a few more days running around New England, and came home with two new horses for the Paragon Jousting herd. Paragon Jousting has acquired a Friesian Andalusian cross, standing at about 16.2 hands, and a Missouri Foxtrotter at about 15 hands who will be a perfect Match for Mister Mister. Both horses are black, show great aptitude for jousting, and have already started their training at Paragon Stables in Aurora, New York. Watch for profiles and pictures on our newest warhorses coming up soon!
We're also very excited to announce our new relationship with House Shadow Wolf who is now the OFFICIAL armor sponsor for Paragon Jousting. Click on over to our Links page and check them out.

A Bullseye foxtail was found after faire on Sunday night outside the Annapolis Mall Red Robin. If you lost this item (or know who did) please stop by the House of Musical Traditions booth next weekend and describe the dye job to retrieve. After the close of this coming weekend, item will be left with Bullseye or MDRF Lost & Found. Crossposted, please help spread the word.

Please don't let your pets roam unleashed/unattended and please be sure to pick up after them. Because if you don't, the next time I have to clean up dog crap it will probably be INSIDE my booth instead of in front of it.
Love, the guy who watched someone's unleashed dog take a crap in front of his booth Saturday morning before gates opened

A correction from my post earlier this week. Paragon Jousting is scheduled to perform at 4pm, not 6pm at The 2nd Annual Renaissance Festival at Griswold Veterans Memorial Park in Jewett City, CT.
